For the third time now we have a batch of DVDs that seem to work randomly. I’ve seen plenty of people complain about V.2 of Gurren Lagann (mine works), the new Zegapain, and V.1 and 2 of Code Geass (mine don’t work), and it’s been a few weeks and Bandai despite recalling some, and claiming to ship replacements to stores has been silent to the customers, but no more, Bandai is gonna set things straight and make sure we know what is going on.
….Great, thanks Bandai. You gotta wonder how they have sent replacements out if they don’t know what the issue is (and not mentioning the issues with the other DVD). By Marc | August 14th, 2008

So when you bought Bionic Commando Rearmed (the remake of the original game, review coming soon), you got to download a special trailer for the new game (the TRAILER is called Evolution, the new game is just called Bionic Commando). If the game is half as good as it looks in the trailer, playing it may result in a ludicrous amount of enjoyment. Categories: News

For people who got the last issue of Madman Atomic Comics (it was a good issue), you may have noticed something… The entire comic was one single panel. It was a neat idea for a book, the only issue is, 1 panel over an entire book means it was split apart many times. Thanks to Madman creator Mike Allred the entire issue as one image has been made available. No voice bubbles though, so if you want to know what exactly is going on go out and buy the issue. It’s an interesting artistic experiment. Comics rely on panels of differing shape and size to show time’s passage, action happening, and to move the story, so it is very interesting to see all that done as a single picture. We got some giant shiny DVD art for two Nozomi Entertainment (Right Stuf) titles coming out later on in the year (the artwork isn’t final). I haven’t seen these anywhere else yet, so enjoy. First we have the second season of Maria Watches Over Us. edit- While I haven’t been able to confirm this with 100% accuracy, the other side of the box will have this image in the frame. Then next we have the classic Towards the Terra movie. Looking forward to both of these myself (where’s the remastered Tylor box Right Stuf?) Categories: News

This guy named Bob (Robert Pelloni) has been spending five years making an RPG for the Nintendo DS. Instead of battles you have conversations. He made all the graphics, story, and other assets himself. The game stars a character named Yuu and the video window above shows a quick video of the demo running on a real DS. Bob is currently trying to find a distributor for the game. I really hope I get to play this game someday. Who is Yuu? {Bob’s Game Official Website} By Marc | August 11th, 2008
Just thought I would clarify this since I’ve seen a bit of confusion on the net. Code Geass R2 will start on Adult Swim immediatly after the end of Code Geass on Adult Swim. Categories: News

So apparently one of Bandai USA’s new DBZ toys is an electronic game where you connect a Goku and a Piccolo figure to electronic handles and press buttons to make them flail about and scream battle action phrases while battling them. The issue with it is WHERE the connector points are… Yeah… Well, if you too require weird asses on your toys, have at it (and feel free to make any obvious jokes in the comments). Thanks to a forum goer on Daizex for the picture… I think. Categories: News
